We lost power for a couple hours, so dinner was a bit of a flop and we ate by candles what was done at the time.

It’s back on now, and the ostakaka we cooked earlier is fantastic! It’s Swedish cheesecake, for the most part, with lingonberry preserves on top.

I literally live down the street from the biggest Ikea in the USA. I’ve had lingonberry before, and I gotta say, it’s good.

Have to find a recipe for that Ostakaka.

All the recipes now use cottage cheese, which just isn’t the same. When I was little we got raw milk from a farm and then used Rennet to curdle it fresh.

This one is what we used. Drain the cottage cheese well, we used whipping cream, and used almond instead of vanilla. https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=671746
